The FG Foundation accepts applications for funding for programs aimed at education, healing and reconciliation, and cultural knowledge building. The goal of the FG Foundation is to help First Nations, Métis people and communities address the impacts of the Indian residential school's system, and to provide resourcing to create meaningful opportunities that improve the quality of life for First Nations and Métis people.


Individual Applications

The Individual Call for Applications is closed.

The FG Foundation is no longer accepting applications for funding from individuals for the 2023-2024 year. We aim to provide funding decisions mid to late September 2023.

The application deadline was June 9, 2023, 5:00 PM EDT (Eastern Daylight Time).

The next call for Individual Applications will be available in April of 2024.

Individual Applications are Closed

Applications for individuals opens in April and closes in early June.

Group Applications

Call for Organization Applications is Now Closed!

The deadline for applications was January 12, 2024, at 5:00 PM EST (Eastern Standard Time).

Group Applications are Closed

Applications for groups open in November and close in early January.
Only complete applications will move forward to the Selection Committee for consideration. The FG Foundation application is a competition-based application. The funds from the FG Foundation are not guaranteed upon application, the process is highly competitive and not all applicants will receive funding.
