RBC Foundation Commits $1.5 Million to Advance Indigenous Youth and Community Wellbeing

The Future Generations Foundation (FG Foundation) is proud to announce a new collaboration with RBC Foundation: a $1.5 million donation over three years to advance wellbeing for Indigenous youth, families, and communities.
This generous contribution supports FG Foundation’s Beyond Reconciliation campaign, a $100 million initiative to close critical funding gaps identified by First Nations communities. Campaign funds will expand access to education, healing and reconciliation initiatives, and the revitalization of First Nations cultures and languages.
Through this collaboration, FG Foundation and RBC Foundation will support First Nation-led initiatives focused on uplifting youth, equity, and building sustainable communities. RBC Foundation’s support reflects its ongoing dedication to drive more inclusive opportunities for prosperity, whether supporting those facing systemic barriers or creating opportunities through education, cultural connection, and inclusive programming.
“RBC Foundation’s commitment to youth wellbeing, inclusive programming, and long-term community investment directly aligns with our mission,” said Naomi Racette, Executive Director of FG Foundation. “Their support helps ensure First Nations youth and families have access to the tools and resources they need to thrive—today and for generations to come.”
This investment will directly contribute to scholarships, bursaries, and community-led initiatives that honour cultural identity while building practical skills. Together, we are supporting a holistic model of education—one that blends traditional knowledge, on-the-land learning, and formal academic pathways.
These programs strengthen community resilience and promote long-term outcomes such as food sovereignty, housing stability, and mental wellness. By supporting First Nation-led solutions, RBC Foundation’s leadership helps address funding disparities and foster sovereignty, self-determination, and intergenerational success.
“RBC Foundation’s donation to Indigenous youth and community wellbeing programs is one example of how RBC is advancing Reconciliation and upholding our commitment to make community investments that support Indigenous-serving initiatives, as set out in RBC’s Reconciliation Action Plan”, said Chinyere Eni, Head of RBC Origins.
FG Foundation acknowledges RBC Foundation’s meaningful contribution to reconciliation by investing in Indigenous-led, community-driven change. This collaboration marks a significant step toward realizing the goals of the Beyond Reconciliation Campaign and creating lasting, culturally grounded opportunities for First Nations learners and communities.
